Is Mawgood suitable for a small company or a single branch?

Yes, Mawgood manages attendance, employee requests, and payroll for small companies as easily as for multi-branch organizations. Our Starter plan begins at 500 EGP/month for up to 20 employees and one branch. You can review all plan features and setup details in the pricing section above.

Do I need to buy a physical fingerprint device to use Mawgood?

No hardware is required. You can choose the check-in method that fits your workflow: mobile app with GPS geofencing & live selfie, dynamic QR code kiosks, or Telegram bot. If you already own compatible biometric devices, you can connect them directly. Mawgood is cloud management software and does not sell physical hardware.

Will my existing biometric terminal work with Mawgood?

Share your terminal model with us on WhatsApp before subscribing so we can verify compatibility for free. Integration is available via ADMS push protocol on supported models, or via a lightweight Windows background sync utility. You can also import punch logs directly from USB DAT files.

Does the computer need to stay running all day to sync attendance?

No. If you use the Windows desktop sync utility, the PC only needs to be running during the sync process. The terminal stores logs internally (within device memory limits), which are pulled automatically whenever the software runs, without requiring a static IP. For real-time continuous dashboard updates, continuous syncing is required.

Can I import existing employee data from an Excel spreadsheet?

Yes, bulk employee onboarding is supported. You can download the ready Excel template from your dashboard, fill in employee numbers, biometric device IDs, branches, and departments, then upload it in seconds instead of adding records one by one.

Do I have to enable every tardiness, overtime, and deduction rule?

No, company policies are fully configurable. You can adjust grace periods, tiered tardiness deductions, overtime multipliers, and leave policies to mirror your company internal regulations, or turn them off completely.

Can I review and adjust payroll calculations before final disbursement?

Yes. Mawgood generates a comprehensive payroll sheet detailing working days, overtime, tardiness, allowances, and deductions for every employee. You can audit every component and make manual adjustments or bonuses before generating bank transfer files or employee payslips.
